The 2004 Topps Heritage set is modeled after the 1955 Topps set. The 2004 set introduced a new insert set, the Double Header Box Topper (30 cards) subset, which were only found in hobby boxes (1 per box).
Topps loaded 110 short print cards into the 2004 Heritage set. All cards from #398-#475 are short print cards. There were also 10 base cards that had pose, jersey or other variations (including Alex Rodriguez) and 10 other variation cards that featured a vintage logo (the players team logo as it appeared in 1955, including a vintage logo Albert Pujols card), plus there were several additional cards numbered below #398 that were short printed, highlighted by Ichiro and several rookies.
